Index of Isle of Thanet Baptisms 1780-1840
This index is still in progress but will eventually cover the parishes of St.Nicholas at Wade, Monkton, Minster, St.Lawrence Thanet, St.George Ramsgate, St.Peter Thanet, St.John Thanet and Birchington.
The increasingly populous parishes of St.John, or Margate, St.George Ramsgate and St.Lawrence (Ramsgate) saw numerous baptisms each year and it has been thought worth making a union index covering a period of 60 years since this should cover most people giving one of these parishes or 'Thanet' as their birthplace in a census and also may cover two generations of some families.
The
period 1780-1812 is complete and ready for searches, and the period
1813-1840 is being indexed.
How to order:
Search Fee: £5 per specific baptism, plus SAE (IRC or 43p postage if enquiring from overseas). A quotation will be given for details of any siblings. It may be possible to provide photocopies of any relevant entries, at an extra charge which will be advised when replying.

or approximate value in American Dollars cash, adding the equivalent
of 65p to cover airmail postage. No SAE is required.
