Administrations
in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury 1804-1858
To be published in several parts, probably starting with the period
1801-1805, this alphabetical listing of wills and admons by Kent
people proved in the PCC will be a most valuable resource. At present
these records are under-utilised, since only unpublished annual
calendars of the wills and admons exist and these are not available
to researchers outside the London record repositories. Surname,
Christian name, year and PRO reference will be given.

New major publication series in progress:
Kent poor law union settlement records 1827-1930 - Abstracts and indexes
These records are particularly detailed and informative, giving family information hard to come by elsewhere, such as names of employers, previous addresses, rents paid, disabilities, names and current addresses of siblings etc., and in many cases hark back several generations - some give family information four generations back. Detailed calendars are in progress, which will give all pertinent information to be found regarding each settlement case. It is anticipated that these will be published by Poor Law Union, starting with Blean Poor Law Union 1847-1917.
Advance orders/ requests for notification on publication of any title welcome.
